The Housing Society’s rental estate Chun Seen Mei Chuen, located in Kowloon City, will undergo redevelopment soon. Prior to that, the Housing Society Academy Alumni Club collaborated with the Association to create Life Storybooks for several elderly residents in the estate as a memoir of their good old days.
Union Enterprises and the Association’s Handmade 38C co-organised a walnut cookies workshop in Wan Wah Care & Attention Home for the Elderly.
One red pocket stands for a blessing! From January 5 to February 20, 2020, Hung Fook Tong will raise funds for the Association’s women services via donation boxes placed at its retail outlets.

HKYWCA is now having a charity sale to raise funds for children with special educational needs (SEN) and their parents, with Y-SENse’s new picture book “Please give me more time”. The book is based on true stories and illustrates how an autistic child adapts to primary school life. It provides a great reference for the families and schools facing similar situation.
Sai Kung District Council organised a Cantonese opera workshop to promote the traditional Chinese art form and invited kids from the Association to attend.
Ms. Wai Chun Fai, a renowned artist introduced the development and creative elements of Cantonese opera with daily life examples to arouse the children’s interests. She also played a video to illustrate the singing and acting skills, while another tutor demonstrated the movements.
YWCA Jockey Club Y Care Elderly Centre has launched Jockey Club “Happy Home Community” Rehabilitation Programme to help the needy to return to the community by providing comprehensive rehabilitation training and support services.
