The Association’s youth band After Later was invited to perform in a charity concert, which aimed to promote a world “with no disregard”.
HKYWCA celebrated the 10th anniversary of the ChariTea programme and distributed red-dates tea bags all over Hong Kong to send our blessings to women on the International Women’s Day.
Our staffs and volunteers sent out the red-dates tea bags with our warmest blessings in different districts e.g. Tin Shui Wai, Cheung Sha Wan, Shatin, Wan Chai etc. on March 8. We adopted the design of a letter for the tea bags, hoping that it carries the meaningful messages, and acts as a medium to send love and care to our important ones.
The Association has been invited by South China Media to be one of the beneficiaries of the 13rd “JESSICA Run”, which will be held at the Peak, Hong Kong on 31st March, 2019 (Sunday).
Urban Renewal Authority (URA) invited the Association’s Western District Integrated Social Service Centre to co-organise the Community Service Partnership Scheme (CSPS). In the hope of promoting environmental protection and sustainable development, volunteers from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) helped to design furniture for the underprivileged families we served in the Central and Western District.

“10 Stories 100 Pieces” programme, under the Association’s Sham Shui Po Integrated Social Service Centre, launched a gate painting project last year, in which teenagers revealed the stories of different old shops by revitalising the metal gates.
Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre organised a day tour for 80 elderly singletons and doubletons to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Sinomax cooperated with the Association to hold a series of activities to send the warmest care to the elders from Sham Shui Po, and rebuild their self-esteem and positive attitude.
The Care for The Elderly Charity Ticket Campaign 2018 was successfully held. Having raised a total of HK$1,038,210.3, HKYWCA was one of the “Top Fundraising Organisations” among the 105 participating organisations.
Proceeds of the campaign will go to the Association’s Y Care Day Care Centre for the Elderly (Yau Yat Chuen), Y Farm for Healthy Ageing, Chi Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and Cheung Ching Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, to provide comprehensive services to the elderly in need.
