"AS Watson Project LOL Elderly Visit" shared love with 2,000 elderly

The Association was glad to be invited to participate in AS Watson Project LOL Elderly Visit again, to share love with 2,000 elderly living across the territory. YWCA's Deputy Chief Executive Ms. Emily Lee joined Mr. Dominic Lai, Chairman of AS Watson Group, Dr. Malina Ngai, Group CEO of AS Watson Group and representatives from other participating companies and organisations, to kick off the visit and cheer for the volunteers.

Celebration of the 75th National Day to showcase Chinese traditional art

YWCA organised an event to celebrate the 75th National Day with traditional Chinese art performance. Mr. Zou Jian, representative of the Department of Social Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, and Miss Chan Lai Chu, Assistant Director (Youth & Corrections), Social Welfare Department officiated at the celebration event together with Ms. Yvonne Yeung, Chief Executive of YWCA.

Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre

Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre has been serving the North District for 30 years, and held a carnival and a banquet for celebration. Apart from the participation from the elderly, the Association was grateful that representatives from the Labour and Welfare Bureau, various rural committees and community partners joined us in this joyful time. 

Three Jockey Club Carer Space under operation by YWCA are now in service

YWCA has started operating Jockey Club Carer Space in Tsing Yi, Sheung Shui and Sai Wan Ho respectively since March this year. They adopt a carer-centric approach to provide appropriate services to carers. Sinomax organised parent-child movie screening party

"Inside Out 2" has been very popular since its launch. This August, Sinomax organised a parent-child movie screening and invited Tuen Mun families to join. All the volunteers, parents and children liked this movie very much. It dispelled misunderstanding of emotions by the general public and encouraged people to face one’s own true feeling. Apart from the movie itself, the debriefing activities on emotion management was also educational.
