YWCA has successfully held ChariTea on International Women's Day, i.e. 8 Mar, for 15th consecutive years. The campaign aims to remind people to spread love and care to women around them. Apart from receiving red date tea bags from our volunteers in the morning in different territories, general public can also get the bag bags in more than one hundred spots, including YWCA centres and our partners’ stores. 

ChariTea 2023 has been successfully held. In line with the tradition of using red date tea to spread love to women, YWCA was back in the community to distribute tea bags to the public, after 3 years’ suspension because of the pandemic. In addition, more than 100 distribution points were added to this year’s campaign. To encourage women to live a healthy lifestyle, apart from making a series of exercise tips, the Association invited Hong Kong athletes to promote regular exercise as well. 

YWCA organises ChariTea on March 8, i.e. International Women’s Day every year to send blessings to women. In 2023, the Association was finally back in the community to distribute tea bags to the public, after 3 years’ suspension because of the pandemic.

Take the opportunity to get together with your loved ones over a simple cup of tea and a piece of cookie in the coming Mid-Autumn Festival, while adding warmth to families with dementia patient.

In order to deliver our warm wishes to Hong Kong citizens, we had decided to employ a first-of-its-kind arrangement - online distribution.

HKYWCA launched the ChariTea Mid-Autumn Campaign to celebrate the upcoming festival, as well as to raise funds for children with special educational needs (SEN).
