Jockey Club Bama Chill Club Perinatal Support Project provides appropriate and timely support for pregnant families

YWCA celebrated ChariTea’s 15th anniversary

YWCA has successfully held ChariTea on International Women's Day, i.e. 8 Mar, for 15th consecutive years. The campaign aims to remind people to spread love and care to women around them. Apart from receiving red date tea bags from our volunteers in the morning in different territories, general public can also get the bag bags in more than one hundred spots, including YWCA centres and our partners’ stores. 

“YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Transition with Families” garnered two awards in Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare

Organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, 2023 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare aims at recognising and promoting innovative, inspiring and forward-looking practical experiences in the social service sector. “YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Transition with Families” grasped two awards including Outstanding Social Service Award and Outstanding Performance Indicators Award (Collaboration & Synergy).

Picture book of my Grandparents Exhibition and Cross-generations Fun Day

Organised by YWCA Jockey Club Family Wellness Centre and funded by Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation, Picture book of my Grandparents Project aimed at promoting harmonious cross-generations relationship. The programme guided children to record the happy moments spent with their grandparents through writings and drawings, which finally turned into precious picture books to be given their grandparents as gift. 190 families joined the programme and finished making 209 picture books.

YWCA Jockey Club Y Care (Sha Tau Kok) served elderly living in the frontier closed area

Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Association set up a new centre in Sha Tau Kok to provide one-stop services for the underprivileged elderly and their care-takers in the district. It provides an integration of healthcare, social support and day care services and aims at arousing awareness on health related issues, and introducing usage of fitness and mind training equipment among the elders. Our staff will also visit rural area nearby to promote health management and the importance of exercise.

HKYWCA Social Enterprises received two awards from Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme

“Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme” was implemented by Jockey Club Charities Trust to encourage different community sectors in building an age-friendly city that can cater for the needs of all ages, and the award presentation ceremony was held earlier. Apart from the City Partnership Scheme Sticker, seven special awards were presented at the ceremony to recognise companies or organisations that demonstrate outstanding performance in promoting an age-friendly culture. Two of HKYCWA Social Enterprises received Our City's Story Award and Age-friendly Collaborator Award.

Jockey Club “Happy Home Community” Rehabilitation Program provides one-stop rehabilitation support and care for the needy

Sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, YWCA Jockey Club Y Care Elderly Centre launches Jockey Club “Happy Home Community” Rehabilitation Program for the needy, so that they can enjoy comprehensive rehabilitation training and support services even when they are back home.

While elders who lack support will be given priority, the following patients are eligible for the service:
