As the Lunar New Year approaches, YWCA Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre, in collaboration with the Eastern and Wan Chai District Social Welfare Office of Social Welfare Department, and the Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) Volunteer Team, launched the “SHKP Building Homes with Heart” Caring Initiative. The programme aimed to convey care to grassroots and elderly singletons, while strengthening the spirit of mutual support within the community.

Waihong Services Group volunteers launched a community service in Tai O, fostering urban-rural interaction through ecological tours, cultural experiences, and visits to the elderly, embodying the spirit of corporate responsibility. The team’s first stop was an ecological guided tour of Tai O, led by trained local resident. The guide took participants through the mangrove wetlands, where they observed habitats of fiddler crabs, mudskippers, egrets, etc.

YWCA joined hands with Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Po Leung Kuk Riverain Primary School to organise “Together We Care 2025”. The Association mobilised its citywide network to coordinate venues across five districts and recruit 1,000 participants, including elderly living alone, underprivileged youth, and families, thereby fostering community integration through sports exchanges and material support.

Organised by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committees of Hip Hing and Vibro, and co-organised by YWCA, the Cantonese opera show The Butterfly and the Red Pear Blossoms was successfully held at the Grand Theatre of the Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District. The event was officiated by Mr. Lam Jim, Executive Director and Group Chief Operating and Financial Officer of CTF Services Limited; Ms. Yvonne Yeung, Chief Executive of the Association; Mr. Chow Wah Tat, Kenneth, Service Director of Aged Care & Community Health of the Association; Mr.

YWCA and DBS Bank (Hong Kong) have teamed up to launch a series of volunteer initiatives, weaving a mutual support network that connects corporate volunteers with diverse groups in society. These journeys of community care go far beyond one-off services, but form a complete cycle - from preparation to implementation, learning to teaching – cultivating a culture of compassion within the community.

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Waihong Services Group held a resin and mobile phone strap workshop, inviting three ladies from the Association’s "Career and life development supportive service for young mothers" to be instructors. The event combined skills transfer with social care, allowing young mothers to practice their skills through teaching while promoting interaction between the company and the community.

To help children with special educational needs (SEN) experience life, the Chevalier Group's volunteer team organised the event “Let’s go hand in hand – Exploring together”, to visit a science exhibition and attend a dessert workshop with the kids, which enabled them to learn in an enjoyable way. 

To celebrate International Women's Day, YWCA collaborates with The Hong Kong Jockey Club to offer care and blessings to women from all walks of life. "Jockey Club x YWCA 3.8 Little Hands, Big Love" encouraged children to convey their love to their mothers through massage.

We light up the lamp for illumination. Light also represents hope which leads you to the way out of darkness. Union Enterprises gave back to the community by organising visit to YWCA Mr. & Mrs. C.F. Tao Neighbourhood Elderly Centre. The volunteers and elderly worked together to make Turkish mosaic glass lamps with colourful glass pieces. 

As the co-organiser, YWCA worked with Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association, the main sponsor The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and the supporting organisation Po Leung Kuk Riverain Primary School to launch the event, “Together We Care 2024”. Mr. Li Xiao-peng, previous national gymnast, and a group of retired elite athletes attended the event to spread love and care to 2,800 families in need.
