Three Jockey Club Carer Space under operation by YWCA are now in service

YWCA has started operating Jockey Club Carer Space in Tsing Yi, Sheung Shui and Sai Wan Ho respectively since March this year. They adopt a carer-centric approach to provide appropriate services to carers. Shui On Seagull Club organised a one-day trip to North District with grassroots elderly

Many senior citizens prefer sticking to their own community and rarely have the opportunity to go out. Thanks to Shui On Seagull Club for organising a one-day trip which allowed grassroots elderly to explore North District. They visited different tourist attractions and enjoyed a delicious veggie meal with the volunteers. The participants spent a meaningful and wonderful weekend together. 

AEON "Yellow Receipt Campaign" raises funds for YWCA

Donate while you shop! YWCA participates in AEON "Yellow Receipt Campaign" and cordially invites your support. On the 11th of every month, customers will receive an extra yellow receipt after purchasing at AEON stores. By placing the receipts into the boxes given to YWCA, you can help raise funds for the Association, as AEON will donate products equivalent to 1% of the total transaction amount to our service users. 

CITIC Pacific organised environmental protection workshop

Wood is a natural raw material that we have at our fingertips. We consume a large amount of wood and paper every day. How can we reduce wastage, recycle and give new life to wood or used paper? CITIC Pacific held an environmental protection workshop for volunteers and elderly to learn about recycled wood, understand how to make good use of readily available wood, and experience the recycling of paper products.

Miricor volunteer team spread love and care to elderly home

Many elders place great importance on Chinese New Year and are usually busy with the preparations. However, it is difficult for elderly living in Cheng Pon Hing Care & Attention Home for the Elderly to enjoy the festive momentum. Miricor volunteer team therefore organised a visit to help the seniors dress up in Chinese New Year outfits and capture their joyful smiles with photos. 

Linde volunteer team visited elderly living in stilt houses in Tai O

Being one of the hottest picks by tourists, Tai O is a historic fishing village away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located in the remote area with an ageing population, elderly living in Tai O lack resources and require assistance with their daily lives. Linde Materials Handling Hong Kong Limited volunteer team paid home visits to elderly living in stilt houses in Tai O and spread their love by presenting gift packs.
