Swire Properties and the Swire Trust launched the “Noodles for Love” $50 Matching Donation Campaign, with the aim to generate positive energy in the greater Hong Kong community, while sharing in the joy of cooking and spending quality time with family and friends. 

YWCA stepped forward in 1940s to start service in Sham Shui Po. To celebrate the centenary of the Association, our service units in Sham Shui Po organised a community partnership ceremony to share the development of our services in the area.

AXA Hong Kong ("AXA") collaborated with YWCA in the remote volunteering activities for its annual "AXA Corporate Responsibility Week 2020" ("AXA CR Week"). AXA volunteers learned to create DIY items through online workshops to promote mental wellness to our service users during COVID-19 situation. 

The Association’s Y Garden View Lounge was honoured to be invited by A.S. Watson Group and MoneyBack to participate in the “Get Rewards Around the Town” 18 District Cross-Merchant Consumer Spending Stimulation Reward Scheme, which produced a video of the restaurant to share its heartwarming story to the public during the outbreak of COVID-19. 

YWCA provides comprehensive social services, some of which are self-financed, to cater for the elderly. The epidemic has dealt a severe blow to our plans and made it difficult to raise funds this year. Therefore, we cordially ask for your support in the Care for the Elderly Charity Ticket Campaign 2020 (“the Campaign”), so as to take care of the needs of the elderly.

隨著時代變遷，「男主外，女主內」的傳統家庭形態，已漸漸被夫妻共同兼顧家庭與事業的「雙職家庭」取代。惟相較女性每日身兼數職，將家務、育兒、工作以至抗疫一併肩負。不少男士面對說好共同分擔的家庭庶務，口裏說「好」，身體卻很「誠實」避之則吉。

香港基督教女青年會(女青)於去年7至10月，以問卷方式訪問了813名平均每周工作多於18小時之市民，包括462名雙職婦女及351名有雙職婦女伴侶之男士，了解雙職婦女家庭分工情況及壓力問題，並同時看男士對家庭分工的期望與實際情況是否存在落差。

調查發現，在逾八成家務項目上，多數男士雖說期望做到「男女各半分工」，但事實最終幾乎都由女士主責，言行並不一致。如「煮食」工作，有46.4%受訪男士希望各半分工，但有67%受訪者坦言，工作最終由另一半負責；真正負諸實行的只有不足2成；49.7%受訪男士表示願意加入家長社交群組，但逾7成受訪男士承認，最終由雙職太太負責「入Group」。

The Association’s Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre cooperated with the Student Affairs Office of the Education University of Hong Kong (“EdUHK”) to implement a technology workshop for the elderly. Elders did not only learn how to use applications like Zoom, but also enjoyed some time with the youngsters. 

YWCA Jockey Club Family Wellness Centre implements “YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Transition with Families” to offer practical advices and emotional support to primary 6 students and their families. A video series and two board games have been created lately.
